The Grosvenor G Casino Manchester is now the home to the North West of England’s largest poker room following a £1.7 million investment from Rank Group Plc.

Unveiled on July 12, the new 240-seat and 24 table poker room is the largest in the North West of England and one of the largest poker rooms in the United Kingdom. The new poker room will be a key destination for gamers and made available for private functions, regular cash games and private poker tuition. Of course, the new room will host a Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) festival as well as other national poker events.

To celebrate the reopening of the poker room, the G Casino Manchester on Bury new Road, is to host a number of tournaments that have at least £15,500 in unconditional guaranteed prizes every week throughout July.

It is not only the poker room that has benefited from the investment; the entire casino has been given an overhaul and now features the “Gold Room,” a private area for high stakes players. Also, 40-state-of-the-art slot machines and electronic games have been added to the casino’s existing offering.

The general manager of Grosvenor G Casino Manchester, Maxine Gibbons, spoke about the refurbished venue. “The investment in Grosvenor G Casino Manchester has really changed the look and feel of the venue and we now have the best facilities for gamers in the North West. We have listened to what our customers want and the new look and feel responds directly to that with gaming at the core of our offer.
